Certified Food Protection Manager Program
(formerly known as Qualified Food Operator [QFO] Certification)
All restaurants in Connecticut are required to have a certified food protection manager on staff. ServSafe® is a nationally recognized food safety education program developed by the National Restaurant Association. ServSafe® meets the CT Public Health Code 19-13-B42 requirements for Qualified Food Operator certification for Class III & IV food service establishments and the FDA Food Code for Class II, III, and IV starting January 1, 2019.
Ledge Light Health District does not offer any ServSafe courses. For information about Certified Food Protection Manager Courses available in our state, please contact one of the following State of Connecticut approved testing organizations.
